This hotel, located right on the Boardwalk just off the beach, has 1,329 rooms and almost 130,000 square feet of gaming space. With over 100 gaming tables and 3,500 slot machines there is plenty of gambling action to be found.

A fitness center, pool, salon, seven restaurants and the massive House of Blues will give visitors plenty to do when not gambling. This casino isn't as big as some of the others in Atlantic City, but it's been reported that the staff is friendly and that it has one of the best poker rooms in Atlantic City.

Occasionally the Showboat has $5 blackjack games but most likely you're going to see a minimum bet of $15. According to Blackjack Insider, the blackjack tables are squeezed in to an out-of-the-way part of the casino. They also report that the blackjack games are tight, so don't expect to win a ton of money at their blackjack tables.

Showboat Atlantic City Poker Room

The Showboat poker room went through a major renovation in early 2008. The room now overlooks the boardwalk and is much more accessible to people passing by. The games are softer now as more casual players notice the poker room and stop in for some quick action. A $5/$5 NL game is spread there as well, giving players the option to play for higher stakes than in some of the other Atlantic City poker rooms.

This is one of the better poker rooms in the city. There are plenty of tournaments and cash games and if you're ever unable to find what you're looking for at the Showboat poker room, it's connected by a pedestrian bridge to the Taj Mahal casino which has another great poker room.

French Quarter Buffet – Many sources claim this is the best buffet in Atlantic City. Closed Wed and Thurs. Expect to spend about $20 - $30.

Showboat Atlantic City House of Blues

The biggest and best club in the Showboat is the House of Blues. It is part southern style restaurant and part nightclub. It also holds the poker room, some of the gaming tables and a few of the slot machines.

Club Worship is located inside the House of Blues and includes private VIP seating, bottle service and dance floor. This is the hot spot for nightlife at The Showboat.
